David Hewitt Award Given to a student who has contributed substantially to the intellectual and social life of the Public Health Sciences body. Annual Income
James A. McNab Award Awarded to an MPH* student in the Health Promotion specialization, or an undergraduate student in the Faculty of Medicine, who has demonstrated continuing interest and outstanding potential to contribute to the field of Health Promotion Annual Income
Gina Gesser Memorial Award Awarded, on the basis of academic achievement, to an MSc student in the SBHS specialization of great promise. The awardee should be pursuing studies in special areas of interest to the late Gina Gesser, namely gerontology, public policy, equity in health care and the health concerns of immigrant population. Annual Income
Peter Kong-Ming New Memorial Award Awarded to an MSc/PhD student in the SBHS specialization for the best paper submitted to a course in Social Science and Health during the previous calendar year. Theses and dissertations are ineligible for consideration. Book Award & the Annual Income
Gloria Dubeski Memorial Fund Income generated by the fund will be used to support a lecture or similar teaching event in the topic area of international health and multicultural health. nil
S.C. Best Memorial Bursary To support needy foreign graduate students in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health. Approx. $1000
W. Harding LeRiche Prize Awarded annually to the MPH* student in the Epidemiology specialization who achieves the highest standing in course work in Epidemiology. Medal only
Mary Jane Ashley Award Awarded to a student undertaking a program of studies in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health who is also enrolled in the Collaborative Program in Addiction Studies. Annual Income
Randall Coates Epidemiology Award Awarded to an MSc/PhD student in the Epidemiology specialization studying in the area of communicable diseases. Only students who have completed one academic session will be considered. Annual Income
Donald T. Fraser Memorial Medal Awarded to an MPH* student considered most worthy in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health with the highest academic standing, leadership qualities and involvement in the DLSPH body and the University. Medal only
C.P. Shah Award
(Residency Program)
Awarded annually to the resident enrolled in the Community Medicine Residency Program whose field or research written report has been judged as the best by the appropriate committee. $200
Dr. R. B. Sutherland Memorial Award Awarded to an MPH*, MSc/PhD student within the Dalla Lana School of Public Health who is the best student in occupational epidemiology course (CHL5410H) and registered in the program directly relevant to occupational health or engaged in occupational health research. Annual Income
Anne-Liis Ots-Goodman Prize Awarded to the graduating student who is not a physician and achieves the highest grades in the MPH* specialization of Occupational and Environmental Health. $100
